Rape Statistics Worldwide is an independent, non-commercial project created for informational and educational purposes. It presents officially published aggregate statistics on sexual violence from sources such as India's National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and national statistical agencies.

2. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes legal, medical, or professional advice. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual violence, please contact local emergency services or a trusted support organization in your country.

3. Accuracy and estimates

We work to present figures faithfully from their published sources, but we make no warranty about completeness or accuracy. Daily, hourly, and "live counter" figures are calculated estimates derived from yearly averages — they are not real-time measurements. Cross-country comparisons carry the limitations described in our Disclaimer and methodology section.

4. Acceptable use

You may share and cite the statistics shown here provided you credit the original sources (NCRB, UNODC, or the relevant national agency) and do not misrepresent estimated figures as exact real-time counts. You may not use this site's name or content to harass, defame, or mislead.

5. Intellectual property

The underlying statistics are public data published by government and international agencies. The site's design, text, and visualizations are provided for public informational use with attribution.

6. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
